Why We Built This Site
North Carolina uses a unified judicial system, but a Randolph County record can still involve several connected routes. The Randolph County Clerk of Superior Court is the local custodian for Superior Court and District Court case files. Superior Court generally handles felony cases, larger civil matters, and appeals, while District Court handles misdemeanors, traffic matters, family matters, and many civil cases. Magistrates are District Court officers rather than a separate county clerk system.
The North Carolina eCourts Portal is the public online starting point for a Case Summary or Register of Actions. Search Hearings is the better route for a current setting, and the clerk remains the source for an official copy or certification. The distinction matters because a public Portal result can be useful and timely without becoming the official court record.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site. It has no connection to a North Carolina court, the Randolph County Clerk of Superior Court, or a government agency. Its limits are straightforward:
- We cannot obtain an official Case Summary, docket sheet, or case file for a reader
- We cannot set, change, reset, or confirm a court date
- We cannot seal, expunge, amend, or remove a court record
- We cannot issue a certified copy of an order, docket, or filed document
- We cannot provide legal advice about a particular case, filing, or deadline
- We cannot guarantee that an office contact, fee, or setting remains current
Only the Randolph County Clerk of Superior Court or the court maintaining the case can provide an official or certified court record. A Portal view does not replace that source.
Search Partners
Some pages include search boxes operated by third-party providers. Those providers control their own services, prices, and results. A paid enrollment reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee for this site. That arrangement does not give this site control over a provider's records, pricing, or data practices.
