Terms of Use

These terms govern use of Randolph County Court Docket. By visiting a page, using a search tool, or reading the material, a visitor accepts these conditions. A visitor who does not agree to them must stop using the site. The site is a private reference resource and does not replace the official court-record channels maintained in Randolph County and North Carolina.

NO FCRA USE. This site is privately operated and has no affiliation with a government body or court. Neither this site nor an advertising partner provides a service for credit decisions, employment screening, insurance underwriting, tenant evaluation, or another Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) purpose. The site only identifies official court-docket and record resources for Randolph County, North Carolina. It is not a private investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site, independent of every government office and court. It does not store official dockets or court records, retrieve a case file, change a court date, or file a document for a visitor.

For Randolph County, the official local custodian is the Randolph County Clerk of Superior Court, serving both Superior Court and District Court case files. The North Carolina eCourts Portal is the statewide public search route for many Case Summary and Register of Actions entries. Third-party tools linked on the site are separate services used at the visitor's discretion.

2. Informational Use Only

All material is offered for general information. It is not the official docket, a court order, or advice from an attorney. N.C.G.S. §7A-109 assigns court records, files, dockets, and indexes to the clerk, and N.C.G.S. §132-6.2 addresses ordinary and certified copies. The eCourts Portal's Case Summary is a public information route, not the official record. Confirm a material detail with the Randolph County Clerk of Superior Court or the court holding the case.

3. Rules for Using This Site

Each visitor agrees not to:

  • Violate a federal, North Carolina, or local law while using the site
  • Use site information to stalk, harass, or threaten another person
  • Use site information for an FCRA-regulated decision
  • Attempt to access systems or data without authorization
  • Use bots, scrapers, or other automated tools against site pages
  • Interfere with the site's availability or another visitor's use

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not produce background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports. Neither the site nor its advertising partners provides a service intended to screen job applicants, evaluate rental applications, calculate insurance rates, or assess creditworthiness. A visitor agrees not to use information from this site or a linked tool to:

  • Make a hiring or termination decision
  • Evaluate a rental or housing applicant
  • Assess creditworthiness or set an insurance premium
  • Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or government program
  • Carry out any other activity regulated by the FCRA

A process that requires a consumer report must use a provider and process that comply with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

Nothing on this site is legal advice. General information about Randolph County dockets cannot determine how a case, charge, order, or filing deadline applies to a specific person. Seek advice from a licensed North Carolina attorney for that purpose.

6. Accuracy Is Not Guaranteed

All site material is provided "as is." No guarantee is made that:

  • Information will be accurate, complete, or current at a particular time
  • The site will remain available without interruption
  • Pages will be free from errors, defects, or security problems
  • Results from a partner search tool will be complete or accurate

Court records change as cases are filed, hearings are set or continued, and matters are sealed, dismissed, or amended. The eCourts Portal FAQ states that Portal information is not the official court record. Verify a docket entry, record, or court date with the court maintaining the case before relying on it.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to clerk pages, trial-court portals, statewide case-search services, legal-aid organizations, and outside search services. A link takes the visitor to a service outside this site. The site is not responsible for that service's content, data practices, prices, availability, or terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The text, graphics, logos, and code on this site belong to Randolph County Court Docket or its content partners. They may not be copied, distributed, modified, or used to create derivative work without prior written permission.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site is not liable for damages arising from use of the site, including a decision based on site information or information from a linked service.

10. Indemnification

Each visitor agrees to hold the site harmless from a claim, legal action, or demand arising from that visitor's use of the site or violation of these terms, including related legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law
